ARE Racing Past and Present

News
ARE has been 'down under' following the Formula Junior World Series, Sector 4 in Australia for the 'The Ron Tauranac Trophy'.

Marty Bullock won the trophy for his agrigate performances in his Lotus 27 at Barbagallo, Sandown Park and Eastern Creek. Following the presentation by the legendary engineer himself, Marty made the following comment;
'My most proud moment, after the birth of my children (I am told). I was lost for words and expressed that I was speechess, however Ron pointed out I could not be speechless as I was still talking. At 91 still sharp as a tack!'

Marty is pictured clutching his hard won trophy alongside Ron Tauranac also in the photo are ARE customers Duncan Rabagliatti, (Formula Junior impressario) and Margaret Ealand. We ran Duncan's 'Flying Carrott' Alexis at Sandown Park and we have the Ealand family HWM Jaguar in the Kimbolton workshop preparing and working through an HTP application.

So, back in the workshop now moving forward with the HWM which is quite a different type of car for us. The car will be back in 1954 Australian GP spec ready for inspection soon.

Also now peparing for the 2017 season of Formula 2, Formula Junior, FF2000 and Derek Bell Trophy races. Formula Atlantic Lola's are available to hire for the HF2 series or long side our Royale RP27 FF2000.

During the 2016 season we took cars from a group of New Zealand racers to Europe visiting Monaco, Pau, Dijon, Monza and towards the end of the season the Goodwood Revival. The highlight was at Monaco getting all 4 cars to the finish not having seen the cars prior to the event and undertaking several late working sessions. Great fun, the whole tour and love to have you back sometime.

We were also supporting Kiwi Formula Junior racer Tony Olissoff on his tour of Europe in the rare
Elfin Mk 1, you can pick up from his busy schedule by reading his blog at

Next year the Formula Junior World Tour goes the New Zealand and the United States, ARE are putting together a program to support a group of racers. Interested World Tour competitors please call for a chat about what is on offer.
